SOS 2017 | Lunatus Participates in Saudi Ophthalmology Symposium 2017
Held in Riyadh from April 15 th – 17th , 2017, the Saudi Ophthalmology Symposium (SOS) 2017 conference was the combined meeting of the 34rd Annual Symposium of the King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital, and the 29th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Saudi Ophthalmological Society, held in association with the Annual Meeting of the Department of Ophthalmology, College of Medicine and King Saud University.
The conference focused in the recent advances in the industry, covering the following topics:
- Cataract, Cornea & Refractive Surgery
- Retina
- Uveitis
- Glaucoma
- Prevention of Blindness
- Pharmaceutics/Pharmacotherapy
- Optometry
The conference allowed participants to learn about the latest developments and innovations in the field of ophthalmology. They also had the chance to benefit from the expertise shared by the international guest speakers, and interact with clinicians, academics and practitioners in ophthalmology and its subspecialties from Saudi Arabia, the GCC region and around the world.
The attendees were introduced to the latest advances in ophthalmic equipment, including lasers, contact lenses and pharmaceuticals, and familiarized with the suppliers of the associated products. This enables them to provide a higher level of ophthalmic care to their patients.
The attendees at the conference included ophthalmologists, optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmic nurses, ophthalmic assistants, ophthalmic technicians, and allied health professionals working in the field of eye care and prevention of blindness.
