Contractubex is a transparent scar gel that actively supports the skin’s healing process and reduces scarring from within. It is designed to help prevent excessive scar tissue formation, reduce redness, itching and the feeling of tension, and make scars smoother and more elastic. For best possible results, treatment should begin as soon as the wound is closed or the stitches have been removed.
Contractubex contains three complementary active ingredients that act inside the skin to positively influence scar formation:
Extractum cepae (special onion extract)
– Has anti-inflammatory and bactericidal properties
– Helps prevent the formation of excessive scar tissue
Heparin
– Softens the tissue structure
– Has anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling properties
– Supports cell and tissue regeneration
– Binds water to the scar tissue
Allantoin
– Encourages wound healing and has a softening effect
– Promotes penetration of the active ingredients through the skin
– Helps relieve the itching often associated with scar formation
Through this triple action, Contractubex helps prevent excessive scar tissue, reduces redness, itching and tension, and improves the smoothness and elasticity of the scar.
Contractubex can be used after: abrasions, cuts or lacerations, operations, burns or scalds, and laser treatments such as tattoo removal. Children, including toddlers and babies, can be safely treated to help prevent injuries developing into disfiguring scars.
– Apply only to wounds that are already closed.
– Gently massage Contractubex into the scar 2–3 times daily.
– Start at the centre of the scar and work towards the edges, using small circular motions until the gel is completely absorbed.
– For best results, continue treatment for at least 3 months; in many cases treatment can be continued for up to a year if necessary.
